Our goal is for our students to build confidence and resilience in order to reach their full potential academically, socially and emotionally.
We nurture the development of happy, responsible individuals to ensure that all children reach their full potential academically, socially and emotionally and can make positive contributions to school life, community and society. Our school values serve as the framework to underpin all school interactions and create a positve atmosphere where learning can take place.
Students in grade five and six are invited to nominate as a school leader. Nominees present a speech to the school community outlining their leadership qualities. A leadership group is elected by the whole school in February. Leaders run the weekly assembly, present at special events, and provide excellent role models for all.
A Junior School Council operates with representatives from each classroom providing additional leadership opportunities for students. Activities include fund raising for charities and general enjoyment for all.
Students are respected and valued as individuals with the capacity to learn. They are encouraged to reflect on their strengths and identify areas they need to work on. Our goal is for our students to build confidence and resilience and in doing so, become independent and self-directed learners with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to prepare for lifelong learning.
