The school utilises its location to provide endless opportunities for rich extra curricula activities. We already have a well-established ski program during the winter term and the summer sees our students participate in a two week intensive swimming program.
Camps are a key feature of the educational experience for our students. Our Camps include:
Our camp in grades 3/4 and 5/6 are combined with Swifts Creek School to build social links between the students to assist with transition to secondary school.
In August a skiing program is offered for one day a week over four weeks. This program is dependent on suitably qualified staff and community support. Students can attend all four days or elect to attend part of the program.
Omeo Primary School understands the importance for our children to be active and physically fit and therefore provide school based classes in physical education. The school participates in a range of local sport events and through our High Country cluster. These shared events across the cluster provide additional sporting and social contact. Our students also participate in a two week intensive swimming program during summer.
Omeo Primary is proud to run an intensive eight day swimming program at the beginning of the year. Staff and parent support assists with running the program to ensure our students have water safety and basic swimming skills. This program is run at Swifts Creek Memorial Pool.
